Urban Outfitters actually started in 1970 as students selling inexpensive clothes and iteams to dorm rooms and appartments, after that they then opened a small shop selling used vintage clothing, bags and accessories, they became quiet successful and opened up larger shops and became known to the industry for their quirky vintage style.
The still produce their own recycled clothes urban renewal which sticks by their trade of vintage, they also have boutique and deisgner ranges as well. The two designer brands i looked at were Insight and Religion Clothing but they also offer Cheap Monday, Full Circle & Something Else.
The store aims its clothing at customers between the ages of 18-30 and definitely aimed at anyone working in the fashion industry.
Their store represents their style of clothing really well, as the shop layout and window displays are sophisticated vintage but yet very stylish, with a mix and match feel as well.
The staff working at Urban Outfitters were helpfull and represented the store well as they were very quirky, vintage & stylish.
Their clothes have the same feel to them, nothing to brightly coloured or clumsy in pattern, just a very casual, clean and comfortable, just like the shop itself!
