When you first walk in to the Whitworth the rooms are well presented and reflect the work there well, for example the second room you walk in to at the Whitworth there a five huge pieces of art, three of them are based on trees and oppersite them are huge windows showing the park area and the floor in front of them is wood which i dont think could compliment the work anymore if it tried!
In Putting On The Glitz exhibiton they show the work to its full potential, like they put tradional, delicate pieces of work behind glass to keep it from any harm but you can still admire, they then use the more contemporary pieces of work in larger scales, in massive rolls which is how you would expect to buy a wallpaper but this is on a much larger scale which i think is a very quirky way of presenting work and gives the room a more contemporary feel.
They have a rage of different types of designs of florals and geometrics which you can clearly see have had such a massive impact on todays designs. which again compliments the room and designs by putting tradional and contemporary together, that actually work together!
